When you are back on the main privacy page, go down to the bottom and click on “Edit your settings” under the heading, “Applications and Websites.” If you ever want to view your Facebook friends list in an alphabetical order. Go back to the top of the “Sharing on Facebook” privacy page and click the button that says “Back to Privacy” on the upper left. Every time you look at your Facebook friends list, it looks completely random. Also, note that in my tests this check box was activated by default. Go to their profile, tap Friends > Edit friends list and check Restricted. There are many possible variants of this scam, but the “friend in crisis” scam has always been persistently popular. Usually the crook attempts to trick your friends into sending them money or disclosing sensitive information. Now, that person’s entire friend list will open in a new tab. Tap the Social Revealer extension on Chrome. On the left of the screen, you’ll see different options to choose from, click Custom Lists. Once accepted, the crook pretends to be you, in order to deceive your friends. Then, go to the profile of the person whose hidden friend list you wish to view. Here’s how to create a custom friends list on Facebook: Log into your Facebook account on your web browser, then click the Friends tab at the top of the screen. Click or tap the edit button, which looks like a pencil, then click or tap Edit Privacy. The crook then sends friend requests to your friends using your public friends list in a bid to trick your friends into accept the request. To do so, go to your profile page and click or tap the Friends link. Since the account uses your name and profile picture, it looks like it’s your account. All the crook needs to do is create a brand new Facebook account using your name and profile picture, both of which they can grab from your account since both are public and there’s nothing you can do about that.
